The Rubicon

Known as the "Con" by those have felt and seen the wrath of the "Con"

The Rubicon is located in the Crystal Basin Recreation Area new Lake Tahoe.  You can gain access to the trail from Georgetown.  The trail starts near Loon Lake and continues past Spider lake and Buck Island Reservor.

The Rubicon Trail is the world's most famous of all tough off-road trails. It is not the toughest in the world - not even the toughest in the US, but it still takes at least two days even for experienced four wheelers to drive all 12 miles of the Rubicon Trail
