Once again, the Winter Fun Fest will be based at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley on January 19-20, 2002. This scenic setting will be your weekend home for most of the activities. In addition to the hall, the fairgrounds offer plenty of parking for vehicles towing 4WD’s as well as a campground with hookups for RV’s. A number of hotels and motels are available in Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the surrounding area.

This years schedule:

Friday Night Run	Departs Friday night after dinner. Moderately difficult run, with icy conditions expected. 30 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Historical Tour	Tour of area historical sites. Open to all 4 wheel drive vehicles. One trail, 9:00 AM departure. 25 vehicle limit.
Saturday - SUV Run	Tour of area mining related sites. Open to all 4 wheel drive vehicles. One trail, 9:00 AM departure. 25 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Blizzard Brigade	Moderately deep snow. High clearance vehicle with oversize tires recommended. 8:00 AM departure, 30 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Glacier Assault	Moderately deep snow. High clearance vehicle with oversize tires recommended. 8:30 AM departure, 30 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Snowcat	Moderately deep snow. High clearance vehicle with oversize tires recommended. 8:00 AM departure, 30 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Tundra Trek	Moderately deep snow. High clearance vehicle with oversize tires recommended. 9:00 AM departure, 30 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Siberian Express	Unlimited snow depths, winching expected, special equipment required. 8:00 AM departure, 25 vehicle limit.
Saturday - Avalanch Express	Unlimited snow depths, winching expected, special equipment required. 8:30 AM departure, 25 vehicle limit.
Sunday - SUV Run	Moderately deep snow. 9:00 AM departure, 25 vehicle limit.
Sunday - Glacier Assault	New for 2002: Sunday trip on Glacier Assault trial. Moderate snow. 30 vehicle limit.
Sunday - Blizzard Brigade	*New for 2002:* Sunday Trip on Blizzard Brigade Trail. Moderate snow. 30 vehicle limit.
